Guelph Hula-Hoop-A-Thon for Hunger on May 28
What is ‘Hooping for Hunger’? This amazing event aims to raise funds and increase education around hunger issues both locally and globally—using a hula-hoop-a-thon!
Hooping for Hunger will take place on May 28th from 12:00 noon to 5:00 in the afternoon at John McCrae Public School in the city of Guelph.
The inaugural event raised $10,000 last year, which was distributed to the Chalmers Community Service Centre and The Hunger Project Canada. This year, Hopping for Hunger is targeting $15,000 as its new goal. Help the cause out by entering as a team and encouraging friends and family to donate! Awesome prizes and bragging rights will be awarded to the top-earning teams.
Can’t hula-hoop? No problem! The struggle to learn to hoop is a drop in the bucket compared to what some people in our community struggle with – plus hula-hooping is fun!
