Have you always wanted to improve or strengthen your creative writing skills? Then have we got some good news for your! Join multi-award winning Canadian author, teacher and entertainer Richard Scarsbrook for a second workshop on creative writing.


The two hour workshop focuses on what an author needs to think about before he or she starts the writing process. This workshop will cover topics such as point of view, verb tense and modifiers.

This is a free workshop and requires no registration for attendees. It will be held at the Orangeville Public Library (1 Mill Street) on April 13th from 6:30 to 8:30 in the evening.

There will be two other workshops held on May 18 and June 15 respectively.

Richard is the author of the books The Indifference League, Six Weeks, Nothing Man and the Purple ZeroCheeseburger Subversive, Featherless Bipeds, Destiny’s Telescope, and The Monkeyface Chronicles as well as many short stories and poems. His novel for young adults Rockets Versus Gravity, which will be published this year, has a special book launch at the Orangeville Public Library on September 29. Richard won the 2011 Ontario Library Association’s White Pine Award and his books have been shortlisted for many other book awards such as the Canadian Library Association Book of the Year Award, the Stellar Book Prize and the ReLit Award.
