Local mutual and economical insurance in Guelph, Elora, Fergus, ShelburneSince 1839, the Gore Mutual Insurance name has been built on their team’s commitment to service excellence. This commitment is at the core of everything they do, exemplified daily by employees who support their clients and the communities in which they live and work. Not surprisingly, this type of commitment doesn’t go unnoticed. Gore Mutual Insurance has been named the #1 insurance company in British Columbia and Ontario by both the IBABC and IBAO in 2006, 2008, and 2014.

What makes Gore Mutual Insurance unique is that they’re not just in the business of insurance. They’re in the business of helping families and organizations see their hopes and dreams come to life. Whether you’re an entrepreneur starting your own business, or a growing family looking to protect what you love, Gore Mutual Insurance is there for you throughout your journey.

And what better way to help their clients than by strengthening and improving their communities. Through the Gore Mutual Foundation, their team is able to give back by providing grants to local initiatives in the areas they serve. Since its inception in 1998, all funds donated have been provided directly by Gore Mutual Insurance. Growing each year, they’re adamant about their goal of becoming one of the country’s biggest foundations so that they can support even more communities. With so many worthy organizations needing funding, Gore Mutual Foundation choose to focus their efforts on three strategic areas:

  • Youthdeveloping leaders of tomorrow
  • Healthcarebuilding healthy, strong communities
  • Safety & Protectionprotecting families, keeping them safe from harm

With over 300 dedicated employees, Gore Mutual Insurance is never short of internal support, but they believe in working with those outside of their immediate company. The Gore Mutual Foundation encourages the participation of their partnering brokers in helping to fund the projects and organizations the foundation chooses to support. In fact, it’s not uncommon for their team to provide matching funds or challenge grants to stimulate the participation from outside of the Gore Mutual Insurance family.

This year, the Women’s Crisis Services of Waterloo Region were one of the deserving organizations to receive support from Gore Mutual Foundation. They were able to use their $100,000 grant to rebuild Haven House, a shelter supporting women and their children fleeing abusive homes in Cambridge and North Dumfries Township. It is through supporting organizations like this that Gore Mutual Foundation is helping to promote strong communities.

At The Ostic Group, we too are active supporters of the communities in which we live and work. Whether we’re helping to build a new community facility, sponsoring a local sports team, or helping to protect the local environment, our team takes pride in giving back to the communities that have given us so much. It is this mutual commitment to strengthening communities that makes Gore Mutual Insurance an Ostic partner for life.
