If you haven’t been to Allen Gancena’s kitchen, you should probably check it out. Located right in downtown Fergus, My Kitchen is the name, and local food is the game.

“My menu is based solely on what’s available in the Centre Wellington neighbourhood,” Gancena has said in a previous interview, “Everything on it is scratch-made with international twists.”

If you’re looking for a menu, you’ll have to stop by in person or check for updates on Facebook, because Gancena’s menu often changes with what’s available locally. For example, one recent menu featured Elmira tomatoes, Elora Olive Oil (from Chile), Fergus BAA goat cheese, Harriston beef and more!

Gancena has travelled all across the world to inspire his menu and has been featured on Canadian television as well. His restaurant in downtown Fergus seats 35 diners and gives you a view of the action, with an herb garden in the window and a prep area in direct view of the dining room.

My Kitchen is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 11 in the morning 3 in the afternoon, and is open for dinner from 5 in the evening to 10 in the evening on Friday and Saturdays. For more information check out its website: http://www.mykitchengancena.com/
